Jakarta (ANTARA) – Menteri Perdagangan (Mendag) Budi Santoso mengatakan harga beras yang sempat naik di tengah produksi melimpah, sudah mulai turun menyusul percepatan distribusi dan pengawasan.

“Sebagian sudah mulai turun (harga). Terus kita masih melakukan pengawasan. Sekarang yang di ritel modern juga sudah mulai banyak beras SPHP (Stabilisasi Pasokan dan Harga Pangan) juga mulai ini (tersedia), walaupun belum 100 persen,” kata Mendag Budi saat ditemui di Kantor Kementerian Koordinator (Kemenko) Bidang Pangan di Jakarta, Rabu.

Ia menilai bahwa masalah distribusi merupakan salah satu faktor dari kenaikan harga beras nasional. “Ya kalau misalnya dari ritel modern saja berkurang (pasokan berasnya), ya berarti kan distribusinya. Barangnya kan ada,” ujar Budi.

Lebih lanjut, Mendag mengatakan pihaknya bersama Badan Pangan Nasional (Bapanas) akan terus mendorong penyaluran beras SPHP di pasaran agar lebih luas menjangkau masyarakat.

“Kami sama Bapanas terus mendorong, dan kami akan membantu di pengawasan di lapangan, termasuk percepatan distribusi,” kata Budi.

Di sisi lain, pemerintah melalui Bulog dan Kementerian Dalam Negeri (Kemendagri) baru-baru ini juga memastikan distribusi beras

SPHP berjalan lancar untuk menjaga stabilitas pangan nasional.
